Generations in Jazz 2026 Wrap Up

54 students headed to Mt Gambier this year, almost double than 2025, joining thousands of young musicians from across Australia and New Zealand.

Big Band 1 and Big Band 2 played like absolute champions, powered by so many students who’ve come through the Year 5/6 Band Program. We also took two vocal ensembles and our Emmaus Christian College Choir, who all performed in the true "Emmaus way."

A huge shoutout to Vocal Ensemble 2 for taking 2nd place in Division 4, such an exciting moment.

Special congratulations to Megan (Year 11), who shone in Big Band 1 and earned the Alto Sax 1 chair in the Division 4 Superband. An incredible achievement.

Saturday night brought the powerhouse sound of Tower of Power, and yes… your child’s ears may still be ringing from those insane runs and improvisations. Even the rain couldn’t dampen the fun; if anything, it added to the memories.
