Course Summary
Students will continue their study of the Indonesian language through a wide variety of written, oral and aural activities. They will also extend their understanding and knowledge of Indonesian culture, arts, geography and history through assignments and films.
This course is a prerequisite for Stage 1 Indonesian.

Unit 1: Traditional Festivals
- Exchange ideas and opinions about Indonesian festivals
- Compare Indonesian traditions to Australia
- Select activities from Saling- Silang 2 activity books
Unit 2: Indonesian Sports and games
- Exchange ideas for games and activities for Middle School - Senior School Indonesian Day
- Reflect on intercultural encounters: Pencak Silat Workshop
- Apply knowledge of textual features to comprehend and create public texts
Unit 3: Film Study
- Written response to film as text
- Identify, make connections of formal and informal language in film
Unit 4: Quirky comics
- Identify, make connections of formal and informal language in comics
- Apply knowledge of textual features to comprehend and create public texts
