Course summary

Students develop their understanding of design principles and practical skills in digital design programs including Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Dreamweaver. Students apply these skills to develop print media and web design products to effectively communicate information in a visually appealing manner.

The Web Design component of the courses focuses on HTML and CSS styling including animations and responsive web design.

Students complete skills tasks, an issues analysis and a major project. The major project uses the design process to investigate, device, produce and evaluate their design on a topic of the students choice in either Print Media, Web Design or a combination of the two topics.
